CONTEMPORARY REALISM

 

Would you like to learn the technical skills of painting the portrait? During this workshop you will discover the skill of comparative measurement - essential  to draw a portrait from life. The likeness is found in the proportions. Course content will focus on the stages of how to construct a painting. Every participant will gain a deeper understanding of form, shape, value, shadow, and light families. The workshop will paint the same model for both days. We will not be able to complete our paintings in a two day course but the finishing stages will be discussed.

 

SHORT DESCRIPTON: Would you like to learn the technical skills of painting the portrait? This 2 day portrait workshop will give you a step by step plan of how an indirect painting is constructed. Every participant will improve – no special genius required.  All levels welcome.

Participants are required to supply their own materials. Model is included.

Cost: $260.00 incl. model fee and taxes

 

 

INSTRUCTOR: Angela Muellers is a local artist with 30 years experience. She has completed ten years of full time studies at three schools . Additionally, she has attended several workshops from top American artists. She has been a finalist in the Art Renewal Center’s competition and won a purchase award. She lives and teaches on going courses in Brackendale.
