If you're like me, creating a sense of authenticity in painting is important.  As a representational landscape painter, I find being able to create a sense of distance, light, time of day and atmosphere is key in making a painting resonate for others, and I truly enjoy the alchemy of creating that illusion convincingly on canvas.

"Painting the Air" will teach you how to paint things through the layers of the atmosphere so you can create a sense of space in your paintings.  Nuanced mixtures are the key - desaturating and cooling mixtures to get them to read, to "sit" where they belong.  It's a perfectly learnable skill, but it does take some focus and some precision.  I can help you with that.  This will be fun.....
